Location: Kumasi, Ghana

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Account Clerk to join our finance team and contribute to the effective management of our financial operations.

Position Summary

The Account Clerk will support the finance function by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with day-to-day accounting activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and record financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update accounting records, ledgers, and financial databases.
  • Prepare payment vouchers, invoices, receipts, and other accounting documents.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor and file financial documents in accordance with company procedures.
  • Verify the accuracy of financial information and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with budget tracking and expenditure monitoring.
  • Support internal and external audit activities by providing required documentation.
  • Perform general administrative duties within the finance department as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

Education

  • HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting software and financial systems.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Age Requirement
