Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Accountant to support the financial operations of the hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, preparing financial reports, and supporting sound financial decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
• Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and general ledger accounts.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
• Prepare and file statutory tax returns in accordance with Ghanaian tax laws and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and financial information.
• Monitor financial transactions and identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.
• Assist management with financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and organizational records.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ICA-Ghana or ACCA is required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Ghanaian tax laws, financial regulations, and accounting principles.
• Experience using accounting software and financial management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Experience in the healthcare sector will be an advantage.
