Role Overview

The Accounting & Finance Lecturer will contribute to the Department’s teaching and academic activities at both undergraduate and master’s levels. The role involves delivering high-quality instruction, designing courses, supervising student projects, and participating in research and departmental initiatives to enhance learning outcomes and student development.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach, examine, and perform administrative duties across undergraduate and master’s programmes.
• Contribute to curriculum development and the design of individual courses.
• Supervise student dissertations and research projects.
• Participate actively in departmental seminars, discussion groups, and collaborative research initiatives.
• Support academic and pastoral care of students to enhance their learning, personal growth, and achievement.
• Develop and maintain links with relevant professional bodies and academic networks.
• Contribute to quality assurance and the continuous enhancement of the teaching and learning experience.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Minimum of an MPhil in Accounting; PhD is preferred.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience in Higher Education.
• Experience in module design, curriculum development, and quality assurance, applying pedagogical research to enhance learning.
• Knowledge or experience in transnational education.
• Emerging record of research output in relevant areas, evidenced by publications and academic contributions.
