Job Summary

GIU International Christian Academy seeks a knowledgeable and engaging Accounting Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction at the IGCSE and A Level. The successful candidate will equip students with practical accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and real-world financial understanding.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach the full accounting cycle, from source documents and journal entries to the preparation of financial statements
• Deliver engaging lessons aligned with IGCSE and A Level curriculum standards
• Train students in the use of industry-relevant tools such as Excel, QuickBooks, and Sage
• Apply real-world business scenarios to enhance students’ understanding of financial analysis
• Develop, administer, and grade tests, assignments, and mock examinations
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback and support
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and critical thinking
• Maintain accurate academic records and reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience (IGCSE/A Level experience is an advantage)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Passion for teaching and student development
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment
