Role Overview

Tiga Art Gallery is seeking a proactive and organized Art Gallery Assistant to support the daily operations of the gallery. The successful candidate will manage gallery activities, assist visitors, maintain art collections, and support the gallery’s online presence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with artists, curators, and the public in a dynamic art environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily operations and administration of the gallery

  • Welcome and guide visitors, providing information on exhibitions and artworks

  • Maintain and organize gallery spaces and art collections

  • Support installation and deinstallation of exhibitions

  • Manage social media accounts and update the gallery website as needed

  • Assist in planning and coordinating events, workshops, and exhibitions

  • Handle administrative tasks, including inventory management, correspondence, and record-keeping

  • Work independently and take initiative to ensure smooth gallery operations

Educational Requirements & Experience

  • Degree or diploma in Art, Art History, Museum Studies, or a related field

  • Experience in gallery or museum operations is an advantage

  • Familiarity with social media management and website updates is a plus

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently

  • Preference for candidates who reside locally to Cantonments or nearby areas
