We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Accounts Supervisor to join our Finance team in Takoradi. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial reporting, business analysis, and operational decision-making within a dynamic and growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Support the preparation of monthly management reports, including analysis of revenue, costs, margins, inventory, fuel, payroll, production, and other operational performance indicators.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing financial schedules, account reconciliations, variance analyses, and supporting reports.
  • Analyse accounting and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, inconsistencies, and areas requiring management attention.
  • Ensure reports are accurate, timely, well-documented, and support effective business decision-making.

Business Analytics & Performance Monitoring

  • Support business analytics initiatives by collecting, validating, organizing, and interpreting financial and operational data from various departments.
  • Assist in developing and improving dashboards, reporting templates, and analytical tools to enhance business performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain relevant information and provide accurate reporting and financial insights.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in reporting processes and data quality.

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies.
  • Work closely with the Finance team to improve reporting efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
  • Perform any other lawful duties assigned by your supervisor from time to time.

Health, Safety, Environmental & Compliance

  • Comply with all applicable RSPO, ISO 14001:2015, Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and management systems.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by following workplace health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.
  • Ensure environmental aspects, including waste management, are handled responsibly.
  • Use Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately and carry out assigned duties safely.
  • Promptly report injuries, near misses, unsafe conditions, or environmental incidents and support corrective actions.
  • Participate in toolbox meetings, mandatory training, safety programmes, and incident investigations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of environmental and safety performance across the organisation.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants must possess:

  • A Bachelor of Science (BSc.) Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • ICAG Level II qualification.
  • A minimum of four (4) years’ post-qualification experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
  • Proven experience supporting financial reporting and management accounting activities.

Technical Competencies

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Interest in business intelligence, financial analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Knowledge of accounting software and financial systems.
  • Experience with Power BI, databases, or other analytical tools will be an added advantage.
