Position Summary

The Associate Professor will provide academic leadership in teaching, research, innovation, and industry engagement within the Faculty. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to curriculum development, postgraduate supervision, scholarly publications, and the advancement of knowledge in their field of specialization.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced teaching and academic leadership in relevant disciplines.
• Lead and contribute to high-impact research and scholarly publications.
• Supervise postgraduate (Master’s and PhD) research students.
• Develop and review academic programs in line with industry and global standards.
• Publish research findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
• Engage in consultancy, industry collaboration, and knowledge transfer activities.
• Participate in faculty governance, academic committees, and institutional development.
• Mentor junior academic staff and support academic capacity building.

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be appointed as an Associate Professor in the relevant discipline in a public tertiary institution or a duly accredited private tertiary institution in Ghana or elsewhere.
• Possess a PhD in the relevant field of specialization.
• Demonstrate outstanding performance in teaching, research, and industry-related innovation.
• Show evidence of significant contribution to the intellectual and professional reputation of their discipline.
• Demonstrate capacity for continuous research and dissemination of knowledge through technology transfer and publications.
• Have a minimum of eight (8) relevant publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals after promotion to Senior Lecturer.

Note: Evidence of industry experience and membership of a recognized professional body will be an added advantage.
