Position Summary

The Associate Professor will provide academic leadership in teaching, research, innovation, and industry collaboration. The successful candidate will contribute to advancing the University’s academic reputation through high-impact research, curriculum development, student mentorship, and professional engagement within the engineering discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced lectures, seminars, and academic leadership in relevant engineering disciplines.
• Lead and contribute to high-quality research and innovation projects.
• Supervise postgraduate (Master’s and PhD) research students.
• Develop and review curricula to align with global engineering standards and industry needs.
• Publish research outputs in reputable peer-reviewed journals and contribute to scholarly advancement.
• Engage in industry collaboration, consultancy, and technology transfer initiatives.
• Participate in faculty governance, academic committees, and institutional development activities.
• Mentor junior faculty and support academic capacity building within the department.

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be appointed as an Associate Professor in the relevant discipline in a public tertiary institution or a duly accredited private tertiary institution in Ghana or elsewhere.
• Possess a PhD in the relevant field of specialization.
• Demonstrate outstanding performance in teaching, research, and industry-related innovation.
• Show evidence of significant contribution to the intellectual and professional reputation of their discipline.
• Demonstrate capacity for continuous research and dissemination of knowledge through technology transfer and publications.
• Have a minimum of eight (8) relevant publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals after promotion to Senior Lecturer.

Note: Evidence of industry experience and membership of a recognized professional body will be an added advantage.
