We are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join our underground mobile maintenance team and contribute to our mission of safe and efficient mining operations.

Role Overview:
The Auto Electrician – UG will maintain and repair underground mobile equipment, ensuring reliable operations and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, hands-on experience, and a strong commitment to safety while working in a dynamic mining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on underground mobile equipment.

• Review the operation of mobile equipment and systems to anticipate problems and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, service manuals, parts books, and equipment specifications.

• Plan and execute jobs efficiently, accurately estimating labor hours, material requirements, and necessary skills.

• Conduct shift handovers and maintain detailed logbooks of all maintenance activities.

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the work area.

• Assist in the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for process operations.

• Ensure compliance with site safety, health, and environmental regulations.

• Collaborate effectively with colleagues in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Automotive Engineering, or Technician II/III in a related technical field.

• Relevant Trade Certification in Auto Electrical disciplines.

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in underground mobile equipment maintenance, preferably in a mining environment.

• Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance processes.

• Ability to visualize and communicate the execution of technical work.

• Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.

• Familiarity with underground mining safety regulations and best practices.
