Role Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and results-driven Aviation Security Supervisor to oversee and coordinate aviation security operations. You will ensure full compliance with regulatory standards, supervise security personnel and service providers, and maintain the integrity of all aviation security processes. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic airport environment.

Key Responsibilities

AVSEC Operations

• Supervise daily aviation security operations, including screening of passengers, baggage, cargo, and aircraft.
• Ensure strict adherence to passenger identification and travel document verification procedures.
• Monitor security service providers to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), operational procedures, and the Airline Security Programme.
• Oversee screening processes for both hold and cabin baggage in line with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Enforce appropriate security protocols for handling weapons, restricted items, and sensitive cargo.

Policy and Compliance

• Conduct and support aviation security audits, inspections, and compliance checks across operational areas.
• Ensure adherence to the Airline Security Programme, national aviation security regulations, and International Civil Aviation Organization standards.
• Collaborate with IT teams to align cybersecurity policies with aviation security systems and operations.
• Monitor CCTV, access control systems, and other security infrastructure to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on security incidents, audits, and operational performance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an aviation security role.
• ICAO/IATA Diploma in Aviation Security Management is an advantage.
• Certification in Basic Aviation Security Training.
• Certification in ICAO Air Cargo and Mail Security.
• Training and experience as a Security Auditor is desirable.
