We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Business Development Officer to join our team and drive business growth through strategic client acquisition, relationship management, and market expansion.
Position Summary
The Business Development Officer will identify new business opportunities, develop strong client relationships, and implement effective sales strategies to grow the company’s market presence. The successful candidate will play a key role in achieving revenue targets and strengthening the organization’s competitive position within the logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the logistics and transport sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Develop and execute sales and business development strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare and present business proposals, presentations, and commercial offers.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals in line with company policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions.
- Represent the company at meetings, networking events, and industry engagements.
- Provide regular reports on business development performance and pipeline activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in business development or sales, excluding National Service.
- Strong understanding of the logistics or transport industry will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and relationship management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM tools.
