Role Overview

As a Chef/Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting meals to a high standard while ensuring food safety, hygiene, and kitchen efficiency. You will play an important role in delivering excellent culinary experiences and maintaining a well-organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure food is prepared, presented, and served in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Monitor food inventory and assist with stock control and ingredient management.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and food preparation areas.
  • Properly store food items and monitor freshness to minimize waste.
  • Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes and meal offerings.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of culinary experience in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
  • A passion for cooking and delivering high-quality meals.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high culinary standards.
