Position Summary

The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of the restaurant’s dining areas, kitchen support areas, offices, washrooms, and other facilities. The successful candidate will help ensure a safe and comfortable environment for customers, staff, and visitors while supporting the restaurant’s commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As a Cleaner, you will:

• Clean and sanitize dining areas, kitchen support areas, offices, washrooms, and other designated spaces according to established cleaning schedules.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors to maintain a clean and presentable environment.
• Clean windows, doors, furniture, fixtures, and equipment to ensure a neat appearance.
• Empty waste bins, dispose of rubbish appropriately, and maintain clean waste collection areas.
• Replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other consumables as required.
• Ensure washrooms remain clean, hygienic, and fully stocked throughout operating hours.
• Follow all health, safety, food hygiene, and sanitation standards while performing cleaning duties.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or safety hazards promptly to management.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Support deep-cleaning activities and special cleaning assignments as required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
• Perform other cleaning and housekeeping duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A minimum of a Junior High School (JHS) or Senior High School (SHS) certificate.
• Previous experience as a Cleaner, Housekeeper, or Janitorial Assistant in a restaurant, hotel, hospitality establishment, or similar environment will be an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
