We work closely with smallholder farmers, aggregators, and stakeholders to improve agricultural productivity, commodity sourcing, and community impact.

Role Overview

The Community Engagement Manager will lead and coordinate community-based agricultural operations across Northern Ghana. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with farmers, aggregators, and local stakeholders while overseeing field operations, commodity sourcing activities, and rural engagement programs. This role requires a strategic leader with strong operational, communication, and people management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead community engagement initiatives across operational communities within Northern Ghana.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with smallholder farmers, aggregators, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and supervise field teams to ensure efficient implementation of agricultural operations and sourcing activities.
  • Support commodity sourcing operations and ensure effective farmer and aggregator engagement practices.
  • Monitor field activities and ensure compliance with operational standards and quality assurance processes.
  • Oversee digital field operations and ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve farmer participation, operational efficiency, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Prepare operational reports and provide regular updates to management.
  • Identify challenges within field operations and implement practical solutions promptly.
  • Ensure all community engagement activities align with organizational objectives and compliance standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Rural Development, Development Studies, Project Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in community engagement, agricultural operations, agribusiness project management, commodity sourcing, or rural development programs.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Experience managing field teams and coordinating community-based agricultural operations.
  • Experience working with smallholder farmers and rural communities within Northern Ghana.
  • Experience managing digital field operations and digital data collection systems.
  • Strong knowledge of the agricultural value chain within Northern Ghana.
  • Strong understanding of commodity sourcing operations and smallholder farmer and aggregator engagement practices.
  • Understanding of quality assurance processes and operational compliance standards.

  • Willingness to travel extensively across operational communities within Northern Ghana.
