Position Summary

BRAC Ghana Savings & Loans Ltd is seeking motivated and customer-focused Credit Officers to support its Small Enterprise Program in the Greater Accra and Eastern Regions. This role plays a critical part in creating a supportive and responsible lending environment by assessing creditworthiness, managing loan portfolios, and building strong relationships with clients.

The Credit Officer will work closely with small business owners to promote financial inclusion and portfolio quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and onboard eligible small enterprise clients.

• Conduct credit appraisals and evaluate loan applications in line with company policies.

• Disburse loans and monitor repayment performance.

• Maintain accurate client records and loan documentation.

• Conduct regular client visits to monitor business performance and loan utilization.

• Provide basic financial guidance and support to clients to enhance repayment capacity.

• Manage assigned loan portfolios and ensure portfolio quality targets are met.

• Identify and follow up on delinquent accounts promptly.

• Prepare and submit reports on loan performance and field activities.

• Uphold ethical standards and promote responsible lending practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education

• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

Experience

• At least one (1) year of relevant work experience, preferably in credit, microfinance, or financial services.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Basic financial analysis and numeracy skills.

• Customer-focused and results-oriented mindset.

• Ability to work independently in the field.

• High level of integrity and attention to detail.

• Willingness to work within assigned communities and locations.
