Main Responsibilities
1. Banking Services
Cash Transactions
- Conduct all cash-related transactions including loan releases, repayments, and cash deposits/withdrawals.
- Ensure compliance with ADVANS Ghana policies, procedures, and AML/KYC regulations.
- Register all cash transactions accurately in the MIS system.
- Report any cash discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.
- Analyze clients’ account transactions and provide informed guidance.
Front and Back Office Operations
- Manage MIS systems by creating and updating client loan and deposit applications and accounts.
- Prepare contract documents for client and branch manager signatures.
- Generate past-due notices and ensure timely dispatch to clients.
Control and Compliance
- Review loan appraisal forms and client files for completeness before loan committee meetings.
- Ensure all branch operational documents are filed in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Correct system errors reported by DQC and maintain accurate records.
- Share best practices with branch staff and report operational issues to the supervisor.
- Utilize reporting tools for effective monitoring and analysis.
2. Commercial Activities
- Welcome and inform customers and potential clients at the branch.
- Conduct information sessions for potential clients organized at the branch.
- Participate in market prospection and other commercial activities alongside client officers.
- Represent ADVANS Ghana professionally to strengthen the brand image.
- Support field promotion of ADVANS products and services.
- Identify client needs, cross-sell products, and promote new offerings.
- Contribute actively to deposit growth within the branch.
3. Administrative Activities
- Coordinate branch planning activities such as loan committee meetings and client officer schedules.
- Maintain branch documentation to meet ADVANS Ghana filing standards.
- Prepare contracts for client and branch manager signatures.
- Foster strong working relationships with branch staff.
- Assist in training and coaching new and existing staff members.
4. Generic Activities
- Engage in prospection, account opening, and filing activities as required.
Challenges
- Handle sensitive customer issues with discretion and confidentiality.
- May be required to temporarily support other branches or assume different roles due to staff shortages.
- Participate in branch commercial activities and support cross-branch initiatives.
