Key Responsibilities
As the Director, Information, Communication and Technology (ICT), you will:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive ICT strategy aligned with the organisation’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
- Establish and maintain ICT policies, standards, governance frameworks, procedures, and systems that support organisational effectiveness.
- Provide strategic leadership for all ICT operations, ensuring the successful implementation, performance, and continuous improvement of technology solutions.
- Drive the achievement of the organisation’s short-, medium-, and long-term objectives through innovative ICT initiatives.
- Advise executive management on emerging technologies, digital trends, cybersecurity, and ICT investment opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop ICT teams by setting clear performance expectations and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Assess organisational technology needs and deliver effective ICT solutions that improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
- Oversee the acquisition, deployment, and lifecycle management of hardware, software, and technology infrastructure while ensuring cost-effective resource utilisation.
- Monitor the use of ICT infrastructure and systems to ensure functionality, security, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Identify opportunities for system enhancements, digital transformation, and technology innovation, and present strategic recommendations to management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors and negotiate contracts that deliver value for money.
- Prepare and manage the ICT budget, ensuring prudent financial management, accountability, and optimal utilisation of resources.
- Prepare and present quarterly, mid-year, and annual reports on ICT performance, projects, risks, and strategic achievements.
Qualification Required & Experience
Applicants must have:
- A minimum of a First Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.
- A Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.
- A relevant advanced professional qualification or recognised industry certification.
- A minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant post-bachelor’s degree work experience in a reputable organisation.
- At least five (5) years of experience in a senior management position, preferably within an ICT environment.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
- Strong project management knowledge and experience in delivering complex technology initiatives.
- Sound professional judgment with a proven ability to deliver measurable organisational results.
- Excellent people management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise systems, ICT governance, risk management, information security, and cybersecurity.
- Demonstrable knowledge and practical application of Artificial Intelligence and emerging digital technologies.
- A commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
