Position Summary
The Factory Hands will support daily production operations by assisting with the manufacturing, packaging, handling, and movement of materials and finished goods. The successful candidates will ensure production activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company quality standards and operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will:
- Assist with the operation of production lines and manufacturing processes.
- Load, unload, sort, and move raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products within the factory.
- Package, label, and prepare finished products for storage and distribution.
- Inspect products for visible defects and report quality concerns to supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of production areas, equipment, and workstations.
- Support machine operators during production runs and perform assigned manual tasks.
- Follow all health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures to maintain a safe workplace.
- Wear and properly use the required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with stock handling, inventory counts, and warehouse activities as required.
- Report equipment faults, safety hazards, or production issues promptly.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues to achieve daily production targets.
- Perform any other production-related duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of a Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), Senior High School Certificate, Technical Certificate, NVTI qualification, or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or factory environment will be an added advantage.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of workplace safety, cleanliness, and productivity.
