Key Responsibilities
As the Finance Manager, you will:
Financial Transactions & Record Keeping
- Oversee and manage the processing and recording of all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
- Ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Monitor financial controls and implement improvements to strengthen financial processes and reporting accuracy.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Monitor actual financial performance against approved budgets and provide detailed variance analysis.
- Support management with financial planning, cost control initiatives, and strategic decision-making.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and management reports.
- Generate periodic financial reports and performance analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Present financial information clearly to management and support key business decisions.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and statutory requirements.
- Oversee the timely preparation and submission of VAT, PAYE, corporate tax, and other statutory filings.
- Coordinate and support external audits by preparing required documentation and responding to audit queries.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and ensure ongoing compliance across the organization.
Job Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial management.
- Demonstrated experience in tax compliance, statutory reporting, and regulatory requirements within Ghana.
- Experience preparing budgets, financial reports, and financial analyses.
Knowledge & Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of financial record keeping, financial reporting, budgeting, and account reconciliations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial planning skills.
- Understanding of Ghanaian tax regulations and financial compliance requirements.
Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
