Functional Consultant (Full-Time) – AO Holdings
Location: Accra, Ghana

The Role
The Functional Consultant supports ERP implementation projects by bridging business needs with system capabilities. This role works closely with clients and internal teams to ensure successful delivery of ERP solutions while building strong functional and technical expertise.
The successful candidate contributes to project execution, supports users, and continuously develops knowledge in ERP systems and consulting practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end ERP implementation projects, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and deployment
- Analyze and document business processes and align them with ERP system functionality
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather and validate business and functional requirements
- Assist in ERP system configuration and basic customization under supervision
- Support data migration activities, including data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scripts, executing tests, and logging defects
- Support end-user training and develop user documentation and guides
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including workflows and system configurations
- Communicate project progress and escalate risks or issues to senior team members
- Provide post-implementation support by troubleshooting issues and assisting users
- Follow established ERP methodologies (e.g., Sure Step) and project governance standards
- Continuously build knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics ERP modules and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in ERP, IT consulting, business analysis, or a related role (internships included)
- Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics ERP solutions (e.g., Dynamics 365, NAV, Business Central, AX) is an advantage
Core Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to document requirements clearly and accurately
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced consulting environment
- Basic knowledge of data handling (Excel, databases) is an advantage
