Position Summary

MTN Ghana invites applications from highly experienced and strategic professionals for the position of General Manager, Sustainability & Shared Value. The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of sustainability and shared value strategies that align with MTN’s business objectives, ESG priorities, and stakeholder expectations.

The role requires strong leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, stakeholder management expertise, and the ability to drive sustainable impact across a complex and highly regulated business environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of MTN Ghana’s Sustainability and Shared Value strategy
  • Drive ESG initiatives and ensure alignment with business priorities and global sustainability standards
  • Oversee sustainability reporting, impact measurement, and performance tracking
  • Lead environmental management and responsible business initiatives across the organization
  • Develop programs that promote social impact, digital inclusion, and shared value creation
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with regulators, government institutions, development partners, investors, and communities
  • Provide strategic guidance on sustainability risks, business continuity, and reputational management
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to integrate sustainability into business operations and decision-making
  • Lead co-funding investment initiatives and strategic partnerships that support sustainability objectives
  • Utilize data analytics and insights to measure program effectiveness and support informed decision-making
  • Promote innovation, agile methodologies, and design-thinking approaches in sustainability initiatives
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams to deliver operational and strategic objectives

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Postgraduate qualification in Social Sciences, Arts, or a related discipline

Experience

  • Proven experience in strategic Sustainability and Shared Value management
  • Senior or General Management experience within a multinational organization
  • Experience managing stakeholders within highly complex and regulated environments
  • Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks, ESG reporting, and shared value principles
  • Experience working in a multi-regulated business environment
