Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Develop detailed implementation plans, procedures, and control methods for aerial and underground fiber deployments
- Prepare, review, and analyze Technical Site Survey (TSS) reports, HLD/LLD designs, and technical drawings
- Coordinate project schedules, procurement processes, inventory management, and installation activities
- Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and procurement documentation for ISP/OSP projects
Project Execution & Monitoring
- Supervise physical On-Site Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) activities within MTN properties
- Monitor project progress and organize regular project review meetings to ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards
- Implement MTN Quality Control and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards on project sites
- Ensure all required project documentation is verified before project closure
Technical Operations Support
- Undertake basic troubleshooting on IP, Ethernet, SDH, WDM, and Optical networks to resolve service anomalies
- Supervise critical field activities including ducting, backfilling, cable blowing, sagging, tensioning, and reinstatement works
- Conduct Acceptance Testing Procedures (ATP) and support service migration activities with minimal network disruption
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate vendor teams to ensure compliance with MTN implementation processes, procedures, and change management standards
- Resolve project implementation issues and manage project interdependencies effectively
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain alignment on project scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives
Quality Assurance & Risk Management
- Drive quality improvement initiatives using customer feedback, audit findings, and field issue trends
- Conduct regional quality audits and standardize deployment practices across all implementations
- Identify, escalate, and mitigate project risks proactively
- Deliver quality-focused training and supervise knowledge transfer initiatives for regional technical teams
Financial & Asset Management
- Ensure strict inventory integrity for project materials and logistics records
- Manage project costs, governance, and CAPEX activities effectively
- Ensure timely receipting of materials and services in line with SLA requirements
- Ensure proper capitalization and asset registration through coordination with Project Finance and Fixed Asset Register teams
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is mandatory
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of project management methods, designs, specifications, estimates, and reporting
- Experience working with Agile and Scrum methodologies is an advantage
Technical & Functional Competencies
- Advanced knowledge of Project Management tools and methodologies
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of business analysis and risk management practices
- Budgeting, CAPEX management, and business performance reporting expertise
