Role Overview

The Grinder is responsible for finishing, smoothing, and shaping metal components to meet required specifications and quality standards. The role requires strong attention to detail, technical skill, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards in all operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate grinding tools and machinery to smooth, finish, and shape metal surfaces.
• Remove excess material, burrs, and imperfections from fabricated components.
• Ensure all finished products meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Inspect work-pieces for defects and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain and handle grinding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Support fabrication and production teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Qualifications & Experience

• SHS, Diploma, or HND in a relevant technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in grinding or a similar fabrication/engineering role.
• Basic knowledge of grinding tools, materials, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and safety procedures.
