Position Summary

Gamma Mobility is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Operations to lead and optimize its operational functions across Ghana. The successful candidate will provide executive leadership for field operations, fleet lifecycle management, supply chain, and operational risk while ensuring efficiency, scalability, and exceptional service delivery.

This role requires a visionary leader with strong operational expertise who can build high-performing teams, improve operational processes, and support the company’s continued growth in a fast-paced mobility and fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute operational strategies that support business growth, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for Field Operations and Supply Chain teams.
  • Design and implement operational frameworks that improve efficiency, cost management, and fleet protection.
  • Represent the Operations function at the executive level and contribute to organizational strategy and decision-making.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve operational performance and customer experience.

Fleet Lifecycle & Asset Management

  • Oversee the complete vehicle lifecycle, including acquisition, distribution, deployment, monitoring, recovery, refurbishment, and redeployment.
  • Maximize fleet availability, utilization, and operational uptime.
  • Develop initiatives that improve vehicle performance, asset longevity, and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor fleet performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Operational Risk, Control & Compliance

  • Establish and oversee operational risk management, investigations, and incident response frameworks.
  • Ensure real-time monitoring and escalation of operational exceptions, including theft, accidents, arrests, and other critical incidents.
  • Drive timely resolution of all operational exception cases within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Partner with Quality Assurance and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to company policies, operational standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead operational audits and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Supply Chain & Logistics Management

  • Lead vehicle distribution and logistics operations across multiple locations.
  • Ensure vehicles are deployed efficiently with complete and accurate documentation.
  • Optimize inventory management and supply chain processes to support operational demand.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, service providers, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
  • Monitor supply chain performance and implement strategies that improve operational efficiency.

Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing operational teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor operational performance against business objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align operational priorities with organizational goals.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a relevant postgraduate qualification is highly preferred.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of four (4) to seven (7) years of senior leadership experience in mobility, logistics, fleet management, transportation, or a related industry.
  • Proven experience leading multi-location operations within a high-growth organization.
  • Strong expertise in aftersales operations, OEM relationship management, and Service Level Agreement (SLA) management.
  • Demonstrated success in developing scalable operational processes and managing complex operational environments.
  • Experience managing large operational teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
