Investment Analyst – Pension Desk (Full-Time)

Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Investment Analyst – Pension Desk to support pension fund operations, reporting, and client engagement. The successful candidate will play a key role in fund mobilization, regulatory reporting, portfolio monitoring, and investment execution support.


Key Responsibilities

1. Pension Fund Mobilization & Client Engagement

  • Drive marketing initiatives to promote pension products and increase fund mobilization.
  • Support client on-boarding processes and maintain strong relationships with pension contributors and institutional clients.

2. Portfolio Valuation Reports (PVRs)

  • Prepare, update, and maintain accurate Portfolio Valuation Reports (PVRs) for all pension funds.
  • Deliver timely, error-free reports in line with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

3. Regulatory Reporting

  • Prepare and submit monthly reports to the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA).
  • Prepare and submit quarterly reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory guidelines and reporting timelines.

4. Portfolio Reconciliation

  • Support reconciliation of Private Wealth Management (PWM) and client accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in portfolio records and transactions.

5. Investment Execution Support

  • Provide input on investment placements and fund allocation for pension portfolios.
  • Support the identification and execution of investment opportunities aligned with approved mandates.

6. Reporting & Quality Control

  • Review internal reports prior to submission to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.

Key Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in investment management, pensions, or financial services (preferred).
  • Valid SEC license (mandatory).

Skills & Competencies

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Possess a solid understanding of pension fund administration and investment principles.
  • Maintain working knowledge of NPRA and SEC regulatory requirements.
  • Exhibit high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Show proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Communicate effectively with strong interpersonal skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Achieve growth in pension fund mobilization.
  • Deliver accurate and timely PVRs and regulatory reports.
  • Improve efficiency in portfolio reconciliation processes.
  • Maintain full compliance with NPRA and SEC requirements.
  • Ensure all reports are submitted on time with zero material defects.
