We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Junior Technical Advisor to join our team in Accra. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional who is passionate about human rights, gender equality, and international development.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and documentation of project activities.
- Contribute to initiatives promoting human rights and gender equality within project interventions.
- Assist in organizing workshops, meetings, training sessions, and stakeholder engagements.
- Support knowledge management processes, including documentation, reporting, and dissemination of project outputs.
- Conduct research, compile data, and prepare technical reports, presentations, and briefing materials.
- Coordinate with project partners, consultants, and relevant stakeholders to facilitate effective project implementation.
- Maintain accurate project records and ensure timely administrative and technical support.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project processes and team performance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned in support of project objectives.
Qualification Required & Experience
Applicants should possess:
- A university degree (BA/BSc) in Social Sciences, Law, Economics, or a related field.
- At least two (2) years of experience (including internships or similar assignments) in the field of human rights and gender equality.
- At least two (2) years of experience in knowledge management, workshop coordination, and supporting project implementation within an international development organization.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and report-writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken. Knowledge of a Ghanaian language will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365. Basic knowledge of S4GIZ will be considered an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
- A proactive attitude towards continuous learning, professional development, and organizational change.
- A strong commitment to delivering high-quality, results-oriented performance.
- Willingness to continuously develop relevant skills as required for the role, in consultation with management.
