As a Locum Sonographer, you will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, produce accurate imaging results, and deliver excellent patient care. Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established clinical protocols.
- Produce clear, accurate, and high-quality ultrasound images for clinical interpretation.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the examination process and ensuring their comfort throughout the procedure.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records and examination reports.
- Operate ultrasound equipment safely and report any equipment issues promptly.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures and comply with all health and safety standards.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support quality patient care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional ethics at all times.
- Deliver a positive patient experience through compassionate and professional care.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- A valid registration with the Allied Health Professions Council.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong clinical knowledge and proficiency in diagnostic ultrasound procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and patient-centred care.
