Role Overview

The Maintenance Technician ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant machinery and equipment. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance activities that support continuous production, minimize downtime, and maintain high product quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform safe maintenance, repair, and replacement of plant equipment to ensure maximum productivity.
• Service and repair production equipment, including Krones lines, air compressors, generators, chillers, and pumps.
• Monitor machinery during production and promptly identify and address unusual sounds or faults.
• Support plant installations, upgrades, and conversion activities.
• Execute Cleaning, Lubrication, Inspection, and Tightening (CLIT) schedules consistently.
• Review daily downtime reports and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance processes and equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards through effective preventive maintenance practices.
• Conduct thorough maintenance during scheduled and staggered maintenance periods to keep machines in optimal condition.
• Report spare parts requirements and support inventory planning.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including equipment history and performance logs.
• Complete Preventive Maintenance Schedules (PMS) within required timelines.
• Comply with all GMP, safety, company, and legal regulations at all times.
• Demonstrate punctuality, accountability, and professionalism in all duties.

Qualifications & Requirements

• HND or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ post–National Service relevant experience.
• Experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
• Strong technical knowledge of industrial machinery and maintenance practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot faults and implement effective solutions.
• Good organizational and documentation skills.
