Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Manager of Mine Technical Services to lead geological, geotechnical, and planning activities at our Yamfo Afrisipa site. The successful candidate will oversee technical services, ensure alignment with the site’s strategic objectives, and develop high-performing teams while maintaining operational excellence and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage geological, geotechnical, and planning functions to support operational performance
  • Align technical services with the site’s strategic vision and objectives
  • Develop, mentor, and guide high-performing technical teams
  • Interact, influence, and resolve conflicts with employees, contractors, regulators, and community stakeholders
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and technical metrics
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technical services
  • Ensure the adoption of latest technologies and innovations in geological, geotechnical, and planning processes
  • Oversee compliance with health, safety, environmental, and sustainability regulations and practices
  • Apply cost management and financial principles to technical services to optimize efficiency and value

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Geotechnical, or a related mining discipline
  • Qualified Person signatory – SME RM, AussIM
  • 12–15 years of combined operational leadership experience in mining, demonstrating progressive responsibility
  • Advanced experience in leading, developing, and mentoring technical teams
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to align technical services with site objectives
  • Advanced knowledge of KPIs, metrics, and risk management in geological, geotechnical, and planning areas
  • Competent understanding of modern mining technologies and innovations
  • Advanced knowledge of health, safety, environment, and sustainability practices
  • Strong financial acumen in managing technical services budgets and costs
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
