Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Scientist actively performs laboratory investigations that support accurate diagnosis, treatment, and patient management. The successful candidate ensures precision, reliability, and adherence to quality standards while working closely with the clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests accurately and efficiently

• Prepare, analyze, and interpret laboratory samples and results

• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration

• Follow quality control, safety, and infection prevention protocols

• Document and report test results promptly and accurately

• Collaborate with clinicians to support patient diagnosis and care

• Use IT systems and laboratory software for record-keeping and reporting

• Support digital communication and appropriate patient engagement

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical laboratory practices

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field

• Minimum of three (3) years relevant laboratory experience

• Strong analytical, technical, and attention-to-detail skills

• IT-literate with experience using laboratory information systems

• Social media–inclined with basic digital communication skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Must live in or around Spintex

• Available to work full-time
