Job Overview
As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for inspecting distributor showrooms, ensuring merchandising standards are consistently maintained, and supporting the effective presentation of our products. You will work closely with internal teams and distributors to improve showroom layouts, enhance product displays, and ensure compliance with company merchandising guidelines.
Your attention to detail and commitment to brand excellence will play an important role in delivering an outstanding customer experience across our retail network.
Key Responsibilities
Showroom Inspection & Merchandising
You will:
- Conduct regular inspections of distributor showrooms in accordance with company merchandising standards.
- Assess showroom product assortment, product displays, and overall presentation.
- Inspect sample rooms, display areas, shelving, display racks, and showroom layouts.
- Evaluate lighting, sanitary ware installations, cleanliness, and overall showroom appearance.
- Identify merchandising gaps, non-compliance issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Recommend corrective actions and follow up with distributors to ensure timely implementation.
- Support the merchandising rollout of new products and showroom image enhancement initiatives.
- Ensure showroom displays consistently reflect the company’s brand standards.
Reporting & Coordination
You will:
- Capture 8–10 standardized photographs of each showroom, including key display and sample room areas.
- Document inspection findings, corrective actions, and implementation progress in inspection reports.
- Prepare and submit periodic showroom inspection reports to Headquarters.
- Collaborate with the Sales, Marketing, New Product, and distributor teams to resolve merchandising and showroom-related issues.
- Monitor the implementation of merchandising improvements and provide regular progress updates.
Education
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Retail Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Experience
The successful candidate should have:
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in showroom inspection, merchandising, retail execution, or store auditing.
- Experience within the ceramics, building materials, construction, home improvement, or sanitary ware industry is highly preferred.
- Experience working with distributors or managing retail partner relationships will be an added advantage.
