Job Summary
Abokobi Area Rural Bank Plc seeks a proactive and results-driven Microfinance Coordinator to oversee and enhance its microfinance operations. The successful candidate will provide leadership to the microfinance team, drive portfolio performance, and ensure compliance with the bank’s policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve the bank’s microfinance objectives
- Lead, supervise, and mentor Microfinance Officers in alignment with organizational goals
- Monitor microfinance portfolio performance and take proactive measures to reduce defaults
- Oversee the disbursement and recovery of microfinance loans in compliance with bank policies
- Conduct regular field visits to assess operations and provide on-site support to teams
- Design and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and capacity of Microfinance Officers
- Collaborate with Microfinance Officers to ensure seamless service delivery to clients
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to management
- Engage with community leaders and stakeholders to promote the bank’s microfinance initiatives
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and ethical practices in all microfinance activities
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Community Development, or a related field
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in microfinance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Familiarity with rural banking and financial inclusion practices is an added advantage
- Master’s degree or second-degree qualification is an added advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- In-depth knowledge of microfinance operations, policies, and regulations
- Proficiency in financial analysis and portfolio management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging diverse stakeholders
- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical standards

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
