Job Summary
Nature’s Sprout Academy seeks a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist who will create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for children with diverse developmental needs. The successful candidate actively assesses, plans, and implements therapeutic interventions that enhance students’ independence, participation, and overall well-being within a nature-based learning setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming therapeutic environment for all students.
- Assess students’ physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities to identify developmental needs.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to each child.
- Support students in improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
- Observe, document, and evaluate student progress with strong attention to detail.
- Integrate therapeutic activities into classroom and nature-based learning experiences.
- Maintain emotional regulation and model positive, supportive behavior.
- Remain teachable and actively incorporate feedback to improve professional practice.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree in Psychology, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Montessori Education, or a related discipline.
- Relevant training or experience in Occupational Therapy is an advantage.
- Demonstrate a teachable mindset and openness to feedback.
- Exhibit a structured yet naturally warm and empathetic approach.
- Show strong attention to detail and excellent observation skills.
- Maintain emotional regulation and professionalism in all interactions.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
