Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations and Logistics Assistant to support our logistics, transit, and operational activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate documentation, compliance with operational procedures, efficient billing processes, and the smooth coordination of shipment and transit operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify the release of shipments destined for their respective countries.
  • Review and confirm payment receipts for applicable fees before the departure of loaded trucks.
  • Maintain and update Inter-State Road Transit (TRIE) records and data files.
  • Conduct invoice verification to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with operational requirements.
  • Participate in TRIE office activities and support transit-related operations.
  • Prepare and maintain operational statistics and performance reports.
  • Execute billing operations in accordance with established procedures and company standards.
  • Identify delivery discrepancies and collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across logistics and operational processes.
  • Perform additional duties and assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience in logistics support, transit operations, accounting, or a related operational environment.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory; proficiency in French will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of NAV VISION software will be an added advantage.
  • Understanding of logistics, transit operations, billing processes, and documentation management.
