Sportserve is building a strong, detail-driven, and customer-focused payments operations team to support its global 24/7 operations. We are seeking a Payment Operations Specialist who will actively manage payment processes, ensure transaction accuracy, and support seamless financial operations across multiple jurisdictions. You will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence while delivering a secure and efficient payments experience for our clients.
Role Overview
As a Payment Operations Specialist, you will actively support daily payment operations, including deposits, withdrawals, and payment escalations. You will collaborate closely with the Manager, Payments Relationship Managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely processing of transactions while strictly adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
You will thrive in a fast-paced, rotating 24/7 operational environment where priorities shift quickly and service quality remains critical.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Efficiency
- Analyse existing operational procedures and actively recommend and implement improvements to enhance quality, accuracy, and efficiency
- Manage audit remediation activities by establishing proper controls and securing required approvals
- Apply logical thinking and creative problem-solving to resolve complex payment scenarios
- Contribute to team performance by achieving operational targets and supporting related initiatives
Communication & Collaboration
- Handle payment-related queries across chat, email, and other communication platforms with speed and accuracy
- Maintain clear and proactive communication with team members and cross-departmental stakeholders
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a dynamic 24/7 operational environment
- Ensure smooth coordination of payment processes through effective teamwork and information sharing
Additional Responsibilities
- Support additional operational tasks as assigned by the Head of Operations
- Continuously seek opportunities to learn, improve, and contribute to team development
- Embrace feedback and apply it to improve performance and service delivery
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is required (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Healthcare, Education, Pharmacy, Auditing, or related disciplines)
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong English communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) and Microsoft Office
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and high level of reliability and trustworthiness
- Willingness to work shifts, including holidays, rest days, and overtime when required
- Strong team orientation with a proactive and adaptable mindset
