Position Overview
As a Personal Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative and executive support, ensuring the efficient management of schedules, communications, meetings, and operational tasks. You will act as a key point of coordination, enabling leadership to focus on strategic and editorial priorities.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a demanding and fast-paced broadcasting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily schedule, calendar, and appointments of senior executives.
- Coordinate meetings, interviews, and internal/external engagements.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and briefing documents.
- Handle incoming communications, emails, and phone calls with professionalism and discretion.
- Organise travel arrangements, logistics, and itineraries where required.
- Track deadlines, follow-ups, and action items to ensure timely completion.
- Support coordination of internal projects, events, and media activities.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and confidential documentation.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders on behalf of management.
- Anticipate executive needs and provide proactive administrative support.
- Ensure smooth flow of information across teams and departments.
- Uphold strict confidentiality in handling sensitive organisational matters.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Administration, Secretaryship, Communication, Human Resources, or a related field.
Experience
- 2–5 years of proven experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or in a similar administrative role.
- Experience in media, broadcasting, corporate, or fast-paced office environments is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong multitasking ability with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Calendar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
