Role Summary

The Portfolio Manager designs, implements, and manages investment portfolios tailored to client needs and risk profiles. The role focuses on delivering consistent, risk-adjusted returns while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring alignment with investment mandates.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Development Officers to design Investment Policy Statements (IPS) based on clients’ risk profiles and specific requirements.
• Construct and manage diversified portfolios with appropriate asset allocation aligned to client objectives.
• Manage portfolios in line with IPSs and Scheme Particulars to consistently outperform benchmarks in a sustainable manner.
• Develop and implement portfolio management strategies aimed at generating positive alpha.
• Monitor, review, and rebalance client portfolios to maintain optimal performance and risk alignment.
• Prepare and deliver portfolio performance reports to clients, Boards of Directors, and Trustees.
• Conduct periodic portfolio attribution analysis to evaluate performance drivers.
• Build, manage, and deepen relationships with clients and trustee institutions.
• Supervise and guide investment analysts where applicable.
• Maintain proactive and transparent communication with clients regarding portfolio performance and market developments.
• Contribute to the development of new investment products aligned with market trends.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or a related business field.
• Successful completion of CFA Level I or Level II from the CFA Institute.
• Certification from the Ghana Stock Exchange / Ghana Investment and Securities Institute Securities Courses is required.
• Partial or full professional qualification in ACCA, CIPM, or a related accounting/finance programme is an advantage.
