Position Summary
As a Quality Control Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring product quality, conducting laboratory analyses, and ensuring compliance with established quality standards and specifications. You will work closely with production teams to identify quality issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain the integrity of products throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Perform laboratory testing and analysis in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with product specifications and quality requirements.
- Record, analyze, and report quality control results accurately and promptly.
- Identify quality deviations and support investigations into non-conforming products and processes.
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure testing instruments are properly calibrated and functioning effectively.
- Ensure compliance with company quality procedures, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing standards.
- Prepare quality reports and maintain accurate quality documentation and records.
- Collaborate with production and other departments to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in internal audits and quality improvement programs.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems.
Educational Requirements
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry, Food Science, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
Qualification & Experience
- Minimum of 2–3 years of quality control experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Practical experience conducting laboratory testing and quality inspections.
- Knowledge of laboratory testing methods, analytical techniques, and quality control procedures.
- Understanding of quality standards, manufacturing processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience identifying and resolving quality-related issues.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quality documentation systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
