Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Reconciliation Officer to support the accuracy and integrity of financial records across the organization. The successful candidate will ensure timely reconciliation of accounts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong financial controls within a fast-paced financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of financial accounts and transactions
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in account balances and transaction records
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data across all systems
- Prepare reconciliation reports and support financial reporting processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve outstanding variances promptly
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all reconciliation activities
- Support internal and external audit processes with required financial data
- Monitor financial transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards
Educational Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, ICA, CIMA) is required or an advantage
- Postgraduate qualification in Accounting or Finance will be an added advantage
Experience
- 1–3 years of post-qualification experience in accounting or reconciliation roles
- Experience in the financial services industry is required
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls, and reconciliation processes
