Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager (Events) to lead our events-driven sales function. The successful candidate will build, lead, and inspire a high-performing sales team while designing and executing impactful revenue-generating events. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, event management expertise, and the ability to engage senior corporate stakeholders.
You will play a key role in driving business growth through innovative event strategies, partnerships, and client engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Design and execute strategic event sales plans targeting job seekers, corporate organizations, and HR industry stakeholders.
- Develop, manage, and monitor event sales budgets while ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
- Plan and deliver revenue-generating events including webinars, seminars, career fairs, networking sessions, and virtual engagements.
- Forecast event sales performance, analyze key metrics, and implement strategies to improve conversion and attendance.
- Organize high-level corporate engagement events for CEOs, Managing Directors, HR Managers, and industry leaders to promote HR and recruitment solutions.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, sponsorships, partnerships, and strategic collaborations within the HR and events ecosystem.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, partners, and key stakeholders to ensure successful event execution and long-term business growth.
- Develop and execute vendor negotiation and management strategies to ensure quality service delivery within budget.
- Prepare detailed sales reports, revenue forecasts, and market insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure all events are professionally executed, revenue-driven, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years’ professional experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role within event sales, business development, or event management.
- Proven track record in sales and event management, preferably within HR, recruitment, consulting, or professional services.
- Strong leadership experience managing sales teams to achieve measurable targets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop event sales strategies, budgets, and revenue forecasts.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of both physical and virtual event planning and execution.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual collaboration tools.
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment while managing multiple priorities.
- International exposure or experience in global/remote work environments is an added advantage.
