Role Overview
The Senior Brand Manager for Beers & RTD leads the strategic planning, execution, and performance management of iconic brands including Guinness, Smirnoff Ice, and Orijin RTD. The role requires a data-driven and creative approach to drive brand growth, optimize consumer engagement, and deliver market-leading campaigns in alignment with organizational objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement annual brand plans for Guinness, Smirnoff Ice, and Orijin RTD, including comprehensive marketing calendars covering advertising, promotions, activations, and innovations. Ensure timely and on-budget execution.
- Drive the consumer and market insight agenda by commissioning, interpreting, and translating consumer, shopper, and industry data into actionable strategies for brand positioning, product portfolio decisions, pricing, and promotional activities.
- Continuously analyze market performance and consumer behavior to refine brand positioning and optimize go-to-market strategies.
- Lead the creation and execution of integrated campaigns across media, digital, experiential, and trade channels. Adapt global campaigns to the Ghanaian market to maximize local relevance and impact.
- Manage brand P&Ls and marketing budgets, track performance, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and report results to the Head of Category.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, trade marketing, innovation, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment on distribution, pricing, and in-market execution.
- Manage external agencies and partners to deliver high-quality creative, media, digital, and activation outputs.
- Identify and champion innovation and renovation opportunities, leading the Navigate process to ensure timely and commercially successful product launches.
- Ensure full compliance with responsible drinking commitments, regulatory standards, and internal marketing codes.
Key Requirements – Qualifications, Experience, Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years’ experience in brand marketing within an FMCG environment, preferably beverages.
- Proven ability to develop brand plans, manage budgets, and evaluate marketing performance.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate insights into actionable marketing initiatives.
- Results-driven with a focus on delivering business growth and brand equity.
