Position Overview

Asanko Gold Ghana Limited seeks a highly skilled and results-driven Senior Exploration Geologist to support and advance its exploration programs. The successful candidate will play a critical role in identifying, evaluating, and developing gold mineralization targets, while contributing to the company’s growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute exploration programs targeting gold mineralization.
• Conduct geological mapping, sampling, and data interpretation.
• Evaluate and model mineral deposits within greenstone belt environments.
• Supervise drilling programs and ensure accurate geological logging.
• Analyze geological data and prepare detailed technical reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize exploration outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Mentor junior geologists and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Educational & Professional Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Geosciences or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in gold mineralization within greenstone belts.
• Proven experience in mineral exploration and geological analysis.
• Willingness and ability to perform fieldwork in remote mining locations.
• A valid driver’s license with at least 5 years of driving experience, including the ability to operate vehicles in rough terrain.
