Position Summary

We are seeking highly qualified and experienced academics to join the Faculty of Engineering (FOE) as Senior Lecturers. Successful candidates will contribute to teaching, research, curriculum development, and industry engagement in their respective areas of specialization.

Departments and Areas of Specialization

Applicants are invited from the following departments:

• Department of Automotive Engineering
  Specializations: Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
• Department of Mechanical Engineering
  Specialization: Welding and Fabrication Engineering
• Department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  Specializations: Power Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, and practical instruction in the relevant discipline.
• Develop and review curricula to align with industry and academic standards.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
• Conduct impactful research and publish in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
• Participate in departmental, faculty, and university administrative duties.
• Contribute to academic leadership, mentorship, and student development.
• Build collaborations with industry and professional bodies.
• Support innovation, consultancy, and community engagement initiatives.

Qualification Required & Experience

A candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Hold a PhD in the relevant field of specialization.
• Have been appointed as Senior Lecturer in a relevant discipline at a recognized public or accredited private tertiary institution in Ghana or elsewhere.
• Have a minimum of four (4) years of teaching experience as a Lecturer.
• Demonstrate strong capacity for continuous research and academic publication.
• Have at least six (6) publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
• Evidence of industry experience will be an added advantage.
• Membership of a recognized professional body will be an added advantage.
