Position Summary

The Senior Software Engineer leads the design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions. This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, ensuring the delivery of robust systems that support business objectives and enhance customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Software Design and Development

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable and secure software solutions.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Write, review, and optimize code to ensure performance, reliability, and maintainability.

2. Technical Leadership

• Provide technical direction and enforce coding standards and best practices.
• Mentor and guide software engineers, fostering continuous learning and development.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and promote knowledge sharing.

3. System Architecture and Design

• Contribute to architectural decisions aligned with long-term scalability and performance goals.
• Design and implement micro services, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks.

4. Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

5. Problem Solving and Debugging

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver timely solutions.
• Identify development bottlenecks and implement improvements.

6. Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Drive improvements in development processes, automation, and testing strategies.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and long-term system enhancements.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree is an added advantage.

Experience:

• 5–8+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
• Proven experience in a senior or technical leadership role.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Django, .NET, Angular, React, Kotlin, or Vue.js.
• Strong expertise in micro services architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
• Advanced knowledge of relational (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
• Strong testing and debugging skills.
