Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Social Worker to join our team in Kumasi. The Social Worker will provide direct support, guidance, and advocacy for children, youth, and families, ensuring their well-being and access to resources while contributing to the organization’s broader community development objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and develop care plans for children, youth, and families
  • Provide counseling, support, and referrals to appropriate services
  • Advocate for the rights and needs of vulnerable populations
  • Monitor and evaluate program outcomes to ensure effective service delivery
  • Collaborate with other team members, stakeholders, and community partners
  • Maintain accurate case records and reports in line with organizational policies
  • Facilitate workshops and community engagement activities when required

Educational & Professional Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Integrated Development Studies, or Community Development
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience working with children, youth, and families
  • Strong understanding of child protection policies and community development practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
