The successful candidate will integrate development and production schedules, support design approval processes, and ensure alignment between medium-term and operational mining plans.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain medium-term underground mine plans, including development and production designs.
- Integrate mine plans with weekly and 12-week scheduling cycles to ensure operational alignment.
- Apply mine design software to produce accurate and efficient mine layouts and schedules.
- Support design approval workflows and ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional technical teams to align planning with operational execution.
- Contribute to void management, reconciliation processes, and infrastructure design coordination.
- Analyse mine performance data to support continuous improvement in planning accuracy.
- Ensure plans support safe, efficient, and cost-effective underground mining operations.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for management review.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education & Qualification
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
- Training or exposure to mine design software (e.g. Deswik CAD/Scheduler) and mine planning systems is desirable.
- First Aid Certificate from an internationally recognized body.
- Blasting Certificate of Competency from the Minerals Commission of Ghana (MINCOM).
Legal Requirement
- Valid driver’s license.
Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in underground mine planning with a focus on development and production design.
- Strong understanding of medium-term planning processes and design approval workflows.
- Experience integrating mine plans with weekly and 12-week schedules.
- Knowledge of void management practices, reconciliation procedures, and infrastructure design coordination.
- Experience working within cross-functional technical teams in an underground mining environment.
