Role Purpose

The Superintendent – External Relations & Communication leads the development and execution of strategic communication initiatives that enhance the company’s reputation, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and support business objectives. The role ensures consistent, high-quality messaging across all platforms while positioning the company as a responsible and trusted industry leader.


Key Role Accountabilities

  • Coordinate all communications activities and company events, advising management on appropriate protocols for hosting and engagement.
  • Develop, write, and manage high-quality content, including press releases, website materials, infographics, social media posts, magazines, and newsletters.
  • Lead the company’s participation in global and national image-building platforms such as conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and awards, ensuring strong brand visibility.
  • Build, maintain, and expand relationships with external stakeholders, including policymakers, to strengthen the company’s brand and influence.
  • Conduct research and provide expert advice to management on communication strategies and emerging issues.
  • Benchmark, oversee, and ensure quality control in the production of all corporate brand materials, including calendars, diaries, and promotional assets.
  • Monitor industry trends and developments, delivering timely and relevant internal communications to support informed decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Professional Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communication, Journalism, Development Communication, International Relations, or a related field.
  • Membership with the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) Ghana is required.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in a similar or senior communications role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Publisher, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated creativity and strategic thinking capability.
