Position Purpose

The Technology Lead – Enterprise Architect will provide strategic leadership for the design, governance, and evolution of the Bank’s enterprise technology architecture. The role will ensure alignment between business objectives, technology strategy, cybersecurity requirements, and digital transformation initiatives.

The successful candidate will drive architecture standards, guide technology investments, and lead the development of secure, scalable, and future-ready technology solutions that support the Bank’s growth and innovation agenda. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, the Enterprise Architect will champion enterprise-wide architecture practices and foster technology excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture Strategy

• Develop and maintain the Bank’s enterprise architecture framework, standards, and governance processes.
• Define and communicate technology roadmaps that align with business strategy and transformation objectives.
• Ensure enterprise architecture principles guide technology investments and solution delivery.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that enhance business performance and customer experience.
• Drive architecture maturity and promote best practices across the technology landscape.

Technology Transformation and Innovation

• Lead enterprise-wide technology transformation initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and agility.
• Support digital transformation programs through the design of modern, secure, and integrated technology solutions.
• Identify opportunities to modernize legacy systems and optimize technology platforms.
• Collaborate with business leaders to translate strategic priorities into technology-enabled solutions.
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement across the technology function.

Secure Architecture and Cybersecurity Leadership

• Embed cybersecurity principles and security-by-design practices into enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Ensure technology solutions comply with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Lead the design and review of secure technology architectures that protect critical assets, data, and services.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to strengthen resilience against emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
• Drive adoption of secure architecture standards across all technology initiatives.

Solution Architecture Governance

• Review and approve architecture designs to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and business requirements.
• Provide technical oversight for major technology projects and strategic initiatives.
• Establish architecture review processes and governance mechanisms.
• Ensure interoperability, scalability, performance, and security considerations are integrated into solution designs.
• Manage architecture risks and recommend mitigation strategies where required.

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration

• Build strong partnerships with business units, technology teams, vendors, and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate architecture discussions and decision-making forums across the organization.
• Provide strategic advice and technical guidance to senior leadership on technology direction and investment decisions.
• Influence stakeholders to adopt architecture standards and technology best practices.
• Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver integrated technology solutions.

Leadership and Capability Development

• Mentor and coach architects, engineers, and technology professionals.
• Build enterprise architecture capabilities and strengthen technical expertise across teams.
• Promote a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
• Lead architecture communities of practice and support professional development initiatives.
• Guide cross-functional teams through the implementation of secure and business-aligned technology solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field will be highly preferred.

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, technology architecture, security architecture, or related leadership roles.
• Proven experience developing and implementing enterprise architecture strategies within complex organizations.
• Demonstrated success leading technology transformation and modernization initiatives.
• Strong experience delivering secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions.
• Experience operating within highly regulated environments, preferably within banking, financial services, or large enterprise organizations.
• Proven track record of influencing strategic technology decisions and driving organizational change.
