Job Summary

GIS seeks an exceptional Vice-Principal for the Junior School (ages 7–11) to provide strategic educational leadership and effective administrative oversight. Reporting to the Principal and Head of School, the successful candidate will implement Board policies, ensure alignment with the school’s vision, and work collaboratively with sectional leaders to maintain a high-performing, unified educational environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide visionary leadership and operational management for the Junior School section
  • Support the implementation of school-wide policies and strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with the Principal, Head of School, and other Vice-Principals to ensure continuity and coherence across all school sections
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment for students and staff
  • Lead, mentor, and support teachers and administrative staff to enhance teaching quality and student outcomes
  • Oversee curriculum implementation, student assessment, and academic progress monitoring
  • Promote collaboration among staff, students, and parents to achieve shared school goals
  • Contribute to the development and execution of school improvement plans

Qualifications and Requirements

  • University degree from an accredited educational institution
  • Certification in Educational Leadership, Administration, or Supervision
  • Minimum of five (5) years of excellent experience in teaching and/or school administration
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop staff while fostering a high-performing educational culture
  • Commitment to upholding the school’s values and vision
