Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Welcome guests warmly and create a friendly, professional, and welcoming dining experience.
- Present menus, explain menu items, and make food and beverage recommendations.
- Take customer orders accurately and communicate them promptly to the kitchen and bar teams.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high service standards.
- Respond promptly to customer requests and resolve concerns professionally.
Food & Beverage Service
- Ensure all orders are served accurately, promptly, and according to presentation standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and anticipate customer needs.
- Clear tables efficiently and prepare dining areas for new guests.
- Support the setup and maintenance of dining areas before, during, and after service.
- Promote menu specials and upsell products where appropriate.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of dining areas, service stations, and workspaces.
- Follow restaurant service procedures and operational standards consistently.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including table setup and cleaning.
- Work closely with kitchen, bar, and cashier teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Report operational issues or customer feedback to supervisors promptly.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Handle food and beverages safely in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional working environment.
- Comply with all health, safety, and hospitality regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Senior High School Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Hospitality, Tourism, Customer Service, or a related field is an advantage.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Waiter, Server, or in a customer-facing hospitality role.
- Experience working in a restaurant, café, hotel, or similar hospitality environment is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems is an added advantage.
